On the streets of Boston, Massachusetts (USA) this week has made its appearance plus-size ambulance, equipped with a special stretcher which can 'stand up to 385 pounds and a hydraulic lift that raises up to 450 pounds. The ambulance that came to the Boston Emergency Medical Services, will be 'on duty from 2 to 4 times a week, ensuring Jose Archil, chief of emergency services, to meet the increasing emergency calls received by patients''oversize.'' ''We have observed a significant increase in cases over the past six months,''said Archil, worried by the complaints of its employees for injuries suffered by lifting patients' in the flesh.
